You need HA only at the Ranger Admin side and there are no special requirements. Ranger Admin is active/active. So you just need to standup another Ranger Admin instance. The plugins communicate with Ranger Admin using HTTP protocol, so you would need a load balance or DNS update for roll over. Ranger currently doesn’t use ZooKeeper. May be in the future, we could have the Ranger Admins register itself with ZooKeeper and the plugins can pick the Ranger Admin host/port from zookeeper and do round robin or failover.
