Hi,

 Mixing different versions of Hive is rarely a good idea. The ranger hive
plugin expects a couple of symbols - classes, interfaces, methods to be
available, when it installed into Hive.
Either use Hive from HDP or compile the ranger plugin with the AWS Hive
jars - this would need a bit of tweaking, as it seems, that AWS Hive
missing a couple of things.
