It's working as designed. https://github.com/apache/ranger/blob/master/security-admin/src/main/webapp/scripts/views/users/UserForm.js#L165-L184 1) User is not allowed to change the User Role for the user 'admin' 2) User is not allowed to change the User Role for their own user account
