Please take a look at https://github.com/apache/ranger/blob/master/agents-common/src/test/java/org/apache/ranger/plugin/policyengine/TestPolicyEngine.java and https://github.com/apache/ranger/blob/master/agents-common/src/test/resources/policyengine/test_policyengine_hdfs.json (or any other files in that directory). These may provide some help.
