Subject: Re: Unable to include HDFS AUDITING

Hi Don,

thanks for your reply,
I figured out the solution previously i was using Hadoop version 6 then by
going through the rangers related documents over an internet somewhere i read
that there is a compatibility issue with hadoop version 6 and ranger version
2.3 so finally i upgraded the hadoop version to 7.1 after doing the
up-gradation all things got sorted out.

Kunal, can you give some more information?

Which version of HDFS are you using?
Which version of Ranger are you using?
Is HDFS starting up after Ranger plugins are enabled?
Is the HDFS plugin connecting to Ranger? Check RangerAdmin->Audit->Plugins
Have you configured Ranger auditing?
Thanks

Bosco
