I have since resolved this.

In the Ranger UI, under HDFS repo configuration I needed to change the username
from `rangerrepouser` to `rangerrepouser@AD.EXAMPLE`

Subject: HDFS Repo not working

Hi,
I believe I may have ran into this issue:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/RANGER-149

I am seeing the following error logs in my xa_portal.log:

Do I really need to format my Namenode in order to get the HDFS repo working?
Won't that delete all of my files?

Thanks.
