Yes, you are correct. In Ranger 0.6 you should be able to write to Kerberized Solr. The primary reason begin, Solr is using newer version of HTTP client than other components in Hadoop. This was giving us conflict. But in Ranger 0.6, we are using class loader to isolate it.
Would you be able to wait for Ranger 0.6? The license discussion is going on and hopefully after they are addressed, we should be able to do a release.
