The app I have in mind for trying Scala and Jini / Javaspaces is typical of what I've been working on in recent years across three different domains:
* Multi-user through web and small device interfaces. * Dynamic Q&A information collection (new Q's may depend on previous A's). * Several kinds of services - some are query / read-only, some are submit / feedback * Some feedback is in collaboration with other users, sometimes delayed (different time, different place). * Rules for evaluation / publication vary based on the users and the organizations they belong to. * Various kinds of analyses.
