Help displaying planet feeds

I'm interested in presenting the aggregated planet feeds as a page  
that looks more like a blog than the current RSS view (in 3.1) that  
you get with the .../planetrss link. Specifically, I'd like to wrap  
the feed content with some other links & html, and style it differently.

Can someone point me to an outline of what would be required? If  
someone has an example they can point to, that would be helpful as well.
