It is possible to do this with Roller + some modifications. I'm doing with:
   http://photophys.com
   http://rollerweblogger.org

Both run off the same Roller instance.

I hope to write up the changes as a proposal, but I'm pretty swamped
at the moment.

you said 'Roller + some modifications' - do you mean modifications in
Roller's sourcecode? If yes could you share them with us? I would be
interested to try them out ;).

Yes, I meant source code modifications. It's still on my list of
things to do. Good news is, now that Roller 4.0 is out I'm actually
getting to some of those things.
