Roller doesn't provide any built-in way to store file uploads in the database, but all the file management work is abstracted behind the FileManager interface. As Frederic said, the only existing implementation uses the local filesystem, but if you are willing to write a little code you can implement your own version of that interface and plug it into Roller.

They are not uploaded into the database itself (as BLOBs or whatever)-- that would make for an unwieldy database.
