disabling "pub time" in advanced settings?

Is there a way to disable "pub time" changes when creating a new blog 
entry?  Roller (v4.0) is being used here in a classroom setting and 
professors would like the ability to easily verify that a given post was 
made before a deadline.

Just getting rid of this option would be a usable fix.
