I use mod proxy, If I remember well, mod_jk has an upper limit of 200
concurent connections...

+1. not sure about the default connection limit but mod_proxy is much more flexible, feature rich and easier to setup (you only configure httpd). The performance of mod_jk was never worth the trouble in my case.
