Hi Richard, You didn't make a typo, and nothing's wrong with your install, the macro just isn't there anymore. #showReferrersList and getTodaysReferrers() were removed from Roller back in 2014 (ROL-1999), so on any 6.x release Velocity has no such macro and prints the call as literal text. That's our documentation bug, not yours: the Template Guide still shows the old example, and we'll fix that.
We dropped built-in referrer tracking because reading the incoming Referer header on every hit became a security and maintenance liability (it was the root of CVE-2021-33580), and dedicated analytics tools do the job better. Roller is built to plug into them: set a tracking snippet under Weblog Settings -> Web Analytics and add this to your theme's <head>: #showAnalyticsTrackingCode($model.weblog) Referrers then show up in whatever package you point it at. Google Analytics works; there are other options. Hope that helps, and sorry again the guide sent you down a dead end. Cheers, Dave
