Sorry about my last email, as I am posting the same
question I have posed to the MULE User group as we are
evaluating both the products. OOps .. :-).
Well good luck with the evaluation!
Hello,
Thanks for the great product you have released.
Currently we are evaluating MULE and SERVICE-MIX and
are keen to know how the following are supported. I am
a newbie into ESB, my aplologies, if my questions are
too basic.
We have to develop a solution where we can integrate
JBoss cluster to another Java Server based application
which is also running on a cluster and with a home
built scheduler which also runs on a failover cluster.
Well if you using JBoss - this link might be useful: http://
www.servicemix.org/JBoss+Deployer
Failover clusters are MOST critical for us, as we are
running very critical applications for which 24x7
uptime is critical for our client.
Given this, my questions are:
1: How can I run ServiceMix in a clustered environment
Yes you can, by simply updating the configuration of servicemix is
use a clustered flow - see http://www.servicemix.org/NMR+Flows
set the property flowName=cluster on the JBIContainer - and this will
enable the clustered functionality for ServiceMix.
as this is the backbone for integrating all our
applciations. If yes, documenting this in the website
would be a good idea.
Good point! It is kinda hidden away! We're actively improving the
documentation - it' s hard keeping up with documenting all the good
features in ServiceMix!
2: Does ServiceMix support secured communication
between its applications?
Yes! Servicemix could certainly run using SSL as the communication
channels - though the configuration would be a bit involved. It's
something else we do need to document!
Thanks
Rahul
Good luck!
cheers,
Rob
