There are folks interested in jBPM, Agila, openwfe and now it appears OSWorkflow. What I hope we can do is come up with some easy to implement and easy to extend WSDL/XSD API for workflow, then provide implementations of the service for different workflow engines - then we've a reasonably standard way to interact with BPMs (add tasks, start processes and so forth) and drop in any workflow engine to do the implementation. There's a few folks lurking on the mail list interested in this topic. I wonder to get the ball rolling, Jeff/Bruce do you have a strawman WSDL we could start with to get the ball rolling?
