Hi,

ServiceMix uses a modified version of Spring, that supports a so-called XML
syntax extension mechanism. There are some information about it at
http://radio.weblogs.com/0112098/2005/06/10.html

For the moment, the XmlApplicationContext has been modified but James is porting
it to gbean (http://gbean.org) so that it is cleaner... I don't know much more..

Regards,
Sami Dalouche
