Great :)
But I am still confused about the relationship between WS-
Notification and
JBI, is it that NotificationBroker is "just another service" on the
bus? so
its not a JBI spec level thing ... so it is not necessarily going
to be a
feature of every JBI compliant ESB?
Yes. WS-Notification is an on the wire protocol that some services
may work with. We're integrating WS-Notification into a JBI component
so that you can send messages from JBI into a WS-Notification network
and back again; along with using JBI to dispatch WS-N notifications
to any external service.
But WS-N is not 'special' in terms of JBI; there's little difference
from ServiceMix handling Jabber, JMS, HTTP, REST, email and WS-
Notification etc. Its just another protocol that JBI can route over,
transform and orchestrate etc.
