Hi Jacek,
I have just started with shale need to explore it more.
I have just inlcuded all my findings.
I hope it is of help to you.
Configuring Shale
As Inferred from [email protected] and http://shale.apache.org/
Shale-core.jar 1.0.2 version can be used with WebSphere Portal 5.1
Requires version jsf-api.jar and jsf-impl.jar version 1.1.
1. You can then run the application on the Portal server. But you
receive a warning "No ViewControllerMapper has been configured for this
application" and should be configured properly and reference to which
can be found in http://wiki.apache.org/shale/ViewControllerMapper
2. Portal 5.1 implements servlet version 2.3 so you are going to
run into problems with shale 1.0.3 because it introduced the jump to a
required servlet 2.4.
3. Shale-tiger.jar requires jdk 1.5 which is again a problem as we
support jdk1.4.x.
Best Regards,
Pallavi

Hi Pallavi,
I couldn't imagine a better question like yours! I'm also working with
WPv5 and RADv6 and completely disregarded using any such goodies as I
knew the JSF shipped is way too old to have me started.
May I ask you to describe the steps you did to get Shale working in a
JSF168 portlet in WP5 and RAD6? What libs should be included in
WEB-INF/lib of a portlet's web application? Which ones replace what RAD
includes at a portlet creation via its portlet web application wizard?
Anything else I should be aware of to avoid issues?
Thanks!
Jacek
