I would just bypass m2e (which I never use anyway) and just type "mvn
eclipse:eclipse" from the Shiro root folder in a command-line window and
then manually import the projects into Eclipse (

It's all pretty quick.

README included in the samples directory mentioning any potential issues
like this, along with links to references on installations or dependencies
(Maven, SVN) that would help a novice get started? Is this something that
the community thinks would be helpful?
