I am wondering if anyone else has seen this problem: occasionally, the Shiro authentication filter just fails. I am running this in the latest Tomcat7, and this error appears in the localhost log:
Nothing else appears in the locathost log, nor in the catalina.out log or any other log. I am not sure if this is even a Shiro issue; it might be a Tomcat problem. Note that the Jersey JAR files are installed and that the authentication filters work fine when Tomcat is restarted. I do notice this only happens when Tomcat has been running for a while, and the process size does appear to be large (via ps): Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any guesses as to what to look at?
