Hello Russel, SLF4J is essentially an API without an implementation, notwithstanding slf4j-simple or slf4j-nop. You need an actual implementation underneath, for example jul, log4j or logback.
You can continue to use log4j's PropertyConfigurator if log4j is your underlying implementation.
