Could be some issues with the way you access it. If you are able to see http://master-ip-public-ip:8080 then ideally the application UI (if you havent changed the default) will be available on http://master-public-ip:4040,
Similarly, you can see the worker UIs at http://worker-public-ip:8081 I'm assuming that you were simply clicking on the links in the UI which is bound to the internal IP.
