Performance advantage of Spark SQL versus CSL API

Hello,

I am wondering whether there is a clear-cut performance advantage for using
CSL API instead of Spark SQL for queries in Java? I am interested in Joins,
Aggregates, and, Group By (with several fields) clauses.
