Hi Soham,
what sqoop version are you using? Also could you please send us entire 
execution stack executed with --verbose option?

The issue with repeated HIVE import and exception "FileAlreadyExistsException" 
is known and was fixed in SQOOP-443 that will be included in next version. 
Workaround for older versions is to manually remove empty staging directory 
left in the default location. For example by calling:

hadoop dfs -rmr $tableName # Remove directory $tableName from your home 
directory
