Hi Dimitri,

I assume you are running the Storm topology in local mode.
Can you show us the error message(s) you see on the console and also contents
of your pom.xml?

Regards,
Prashanth.

Subject: Help // Installing storm on ubuntu

Hello folks,

I am sorry if my question might sound silly but I am totally new to this and I
am trying to find my way so any help would be much appreciated.

I am trying to install storm in Ubuntu.

I have installed :

Java SDK 1.7
Git
Maven 3.2.3
Virtual box
Puppet
Vagrant

Finally I Installed Eclipse.

Then through command line I am trying to create my first storm topology:
HelloWorld Topology.

To do that I have created my pom.xml file and then I running the command mvn
eclipse:eclipse. When I do that I can see that a lot of files are being
downloaded but at some point I am getting the error that storm was not found or
missing pom for storm and I am really stuck there.

Can somebody help me get through this so I can have my tools fully installed
and then explore the world of Storm?

Thanks a million.

Dimitri
