This sounds super interesting. If you could later upload the talk (in any form) for the international audience that would be awesome.

How we used Storm wrong, then right, for a distributed HTTP client at AdRoll Description: My team at AdRoll is responsible for the infrastructure that powers dynamic display ads across the web. To do this well, we use Apache Storm to parse hundreds of product catalogs and mirror millions of images per day. This turns out to be an odd workload for Storm, so along the way we've learned a great deal about workers, queues, and monitoring in Storm. In this talk I'll share some approaches we tried that didn't work, some solutions that did work, and advice on how to inspect a misbehaving Storm topology. Please RSVP at http://www.meetup.com/Bay-Area-Storm-Users/events/218816484/. The more the merrier, so share about this meetup on social networks. Thanks -- Siva Jagadeesan
