I’m getting started with the KafkaSpout, and I think that I’m missing something. My understanding is that failed tuples are supposed to be retried, but that is not the behavior I see. I’ve even gone so far as to set max spout pending to 1 and remove acking, to see what happens with a timeout, but the tuples just keep coming.
Is there something special I need to do to enable retries?
