All:

      Key things to keep in mind is that Storm is really a robust
architecture built on Linux clusters.   The biggest speed bumps
are the multiple JVMs and Zookeeper for tuple/Linux node
synchronization.

      Look at the garbage collection algorithms internal to the
JVM.  Whoever your vendor of choice is, I would highly suggest
these be front and center.   At the end of the day, Storm
systems administration requires a careful eye on data/tuple
inbound and outbound destinations.
