Hello I am a newbie in storm and I want to start looking and hacking the source code. I downloaded the release version and executed it in my cluster. I am having a bit of hard time compiling the code from source and them setting up the cluster from my own compiled version. When I execute the bin/storm nimbus script I am getting the following message:
The storm client can only be run from within a release. You appear to be trying to run the client from a checkout of Storm's source code. You can download a Storm release at http://storm-project.net/downloads.html Have any of you compiled storm from source? Can you give me any tips on how to do that.
