We have a topology where a job can take up to several minutes to complete and are encountering a situation in which we are getting frequent netty dropped messages. The result is that we have to timeout each message which is causing the system to be idle a lot of the time. I am wondering if there is way to detect the dropping of messages by netty to allow immediate resend or if there is any other mechanism other than timeouts. If someone has suggestions on how to detect what is causing the dropped messages that would also be helpful. Right now, we get one or two dropped messages for minute which enough to have us idle the vast majority of the time. Thanks, Jason
