As Ted noted in his prior e-mail, moving to the Apache lists is required; however, you will still be able to use GitHub. It is true that we will move the code to an Apache hosted Git instance, but that instance will be mirrored to GitHub.
As an example, CouchDB was one of the pioneers of Git @ Apache and you can see they are very active on GitHub https://github.com/apache/couchdb.
