Wendy - It can be something as simple as an error status, or as complex as a List object. I can't use the session because where I am redirecting back to can be a second instance of Tomcat running on its own server, or even an ASP.Net application running under IIS. So, I really need to put the object in the request, so the receiving 'page' can look at the request and determine if it got an error or not, and if not, pull the List object (or whatever it's called in ASP-land) and to something with it.
Thanks.
