Struts and Hibernate

Ok for half the day now I have been trying to make a small application 
with Hibernate as I am trying to learn it so I can use it with Struts.

I tried an exemple application shown at 
http://homepage.mac.com/edahand/projects/java/example1.html but I keep 
getting an error message :

       net.sf.hibernate.MappingException : Dialect does not support 
identity key generation.

I run Tomcat 5.0.19 . MySQL, Struts 1.1.

Any help would be graceful.
