I agree Rick, although I'm not sure anyone should *ever* listen to me :)
Like I said, I'm not saying NEVER use taglibs, just that SOMETIMES (well, MANY times, in my opinion) they are superfluous. THIS time, they made sense. :)
he he I know what you are saying:) Same thing with people that create these incredibly complex web applications with facades within facades which extend HubbleSpaceTelescope, using AOP, IoC, kitchen-sink, AspectJ, more kitchen sinks, 20 different XML config files, etc. Sometimes people end up doing things just because "they can" versus doing things because it actually helps make the application better. (Not saying the above don't have their place, quite the contrary, but to use them just because they exist is silly).
