Standard disclaimer: I have not tried this, I'm just coming up with it off the top of my head... Even if it does work, I can't vouch for how cross-browser it is, and it will not help if they have scripting disabled. But, if those things can be factored out of the equation, this might do the trick for you.

I'm thinking this problem is not simply due to the caching - if I loaded the page from the db each time the browser would still have its own copy of what-was-once there. I think this must be a problem which occurs in many projects?
