Thanks, Joe!  With gmane, it starts out with the GUI I really like:
simple, direct, easy to use.  Then, after a search, it turns to this
GUI I really hate: cluttered, busy, hard to read.  Is there a way to
get it to stick to the first GUI?  I have looked around and cannot
find it.
