This is related to an earlier email that I sent with the subject
"Session Invalidation in JSP" The problem is the same one, I am just
more specific with my question this time.

In my other question I mentioned that I had designed a portal as a
collection of smaller struts apps. One of these app is a central
servlet that handles requests from all the other apps. The replies to
these requests need to by dynamic, but not statefull...

To me, this means that I don't need the session. My app would be more
efficient without it. Is there a way I can prevent one from getting
created. I was hoping there was something I could put in the web.xml,
but it seems like the session-timeout variable is the only related
option. It can't help me except by making the sessions drop off more
quickly. Any suggestions?

thanks in advance
josh
