Funny you should mention this...Nick Heudecker (Hibernate Quickly) and
I have just agreed to write Struts in Action, 2nd Edition which will
target 1.2 and 1.3 as appropriate. Our goal is to bring the trusted
tome up to date, and include more practical solutions to common
problems that arise on this list and others.

Okay sounds good. What sort of timescales are we talking about? My housemate writes books and her lead time is 3-6 months depending on whether she is ghost-writing for another or not (though her books are technical they aren't programming related). If you have just signed a deal then are we talking about June/July time for publication?

I've been humming and harring about buying a book but they all seem to be 1.0 or 1.1 at the moment, and I don't like working from scrappy Net tutorials. Personally I would like the Ted Husted one (I recognise his name!) and also am leaning towards the Chuck Cavenass O'Reilly offering since the ASP.NET/C# O'Reilly books are really good though I got stung by their Java Server Pages book which lost me around page 65:-(

Thanks, G.
