Well, to the extent that AJAX techniques can make a site seem faster, it
is actually on-topic.

And I don't care if this map thing is on-topic or not, it is cool as hell :)

By the way, not sure who said it, but you can in fact scroll around this
map, just like Google Maps, by dragging.  The zoom is very nice, and
cross-browser... I'm surprised the pixelation effect worked in Firefox, I
thought that was still an IE-specific DirectX-based filter.  Sweet!
