I apologize... I was not paying attention and didn't realize this was on the users list. There has simultaneously been a thread about this on the user list and the dev list (we were told it was appropriate for the dev list by the way), and I didn't notice. My bad.

discussions someplace other than the Struts user list?  Indeed,
struts.sf.net has a mailing list (struts-apps) that is precisely for
this purpose.

The 3000 or so people that are here want to be able to ask questions
about using Struts, not get subjected to 80-message threads about
someone's ideas for what the future might look like.  That is what
developer lists (here or at SF) are for.
