Hi,

I use tiles and I personnaly have no problem getting the error messages.
I use the NetBeans IDE. All my logs and 'normal' exceptions (that occur
in Java classes) come out in a window called "Bundled Tomcat". However,
if I have an exception in a JSP tile page, I go to the window right next
to it (whose title is the name of my project) and I get the exceptions'
stacktrace :)

This probably means, if you are not using Netbeans, that there's a log
file somewhere... Sorry I can't be more precise. Try searching for files
modified very recently in your tomcat directory.
