At some point soon there will be a vote on the "quality" of 1.2.7 - the more feedback from people that have tried it out and have not found any issues, then the more likely it will get a "ga" quality tag and become the "current production release".
So far there have been no issues raised against 1.2.7 - I hope thats because there aren't any rather than because not many people have tried it out.
