Speaking of all that spare time... there IS something you can do with it. There are nightly builds of 1.3.0-dev available for testing, or you can check out the source and build it yourself.
To get started, install Maven (http://maven.apache.org/) if you haven't already (and if you haven't... you don't know what you're missing!)
