+1 The deal we struck back in the day was to keep the very-off-topic posts constrained to Fridays, and to use the subject tags FRIDAY or BEER. As a common courtesy, I'd ask that people use the FRIDAY or BEER tags instead of just "OT", since many of the OT threads are of professional interest. I agree with Craig that the recent posts are going way over the line again.
