I agree, McGrady's approach using suffix instead of prefix is easier, works for regular or image buttons. I used his code and submitted it to Bugzilla. Jack, is it OK with you that I submitted your code? Maybe I should just patch DispatchAction class, keeping the name and simply adding functionality?
