I used error-page tag in web.xml to map any 404 Http error code to page default.jsp specified in location tag.It works fine in netscape but does not work in internet explorer .I am using IE 6.0.

Open the localhost:9080 home page, and then look for links to the information you want. Click the Back button to try another link. Click Search to look for information on this Internet.
