Another way to handle it would be to use the "*.html" suffix and create a clay RUNTIME component to render a form and it's content. I don't think the XML would work because you would have to excape it. <span jsfid="clay" shapeValidator="#{managed-bean-name.shapeForm}" /> The shapeValidator event is a Validator method binding signature. It allows you to build meta-component elements that is used to construct the subtree. The basic idea is that you create a graph of the same objects used by the digester when reading the XML config files. The rolodex usecase example creates the tabs using this method.
