Ted says "Yes" but I say "No". Listen to everyone. Make the "we" more than the people that have committing "power". Most people that correspond on this list are not committers. I personally will listen to anyone on this list and make up my own mind. But, thanks for the rejected advice. People like Frank, Rick, etc. are more sensible, in my mind than most committers. The top commiters, people like Craig and Ted have clear agendas having not that much to do with the product, which Ted says does not exist.
