no, but jsp can produce well formed xhtml (actually its an optional
setting, isn't it?)


so <head><bla></head></bla> is invalid,
but the output of your example:
<img src="/blabla/"/> is a valid xhtml.

It's not about the jsp itself, but the output :-)
